Longview Centennial Mural
at Pets, Pawns, and Instruments

This exciting project is our contribution to the 2023 Longview Centennial. This mural is designed by Longview native Paul Nunn, and scheduled to begin this May on the Pets, Pawns, and Instruments building on the corner of Commerce Ave. and Maple St. This Mural honors 100 years of Longview featuring 100 tree rings forming an iconic scene from our local history.

Paul Nunn

Paul Nunn is a lifelong Washingtonian who grew up in Longview, and graduated from Mark Morris in 2005. He has been a practicing artist since 2007 when he started selling paintings at the Longview Saturday Market and Go 4th Festival.. Nowadays you can find him at his working studio or making dinner for his wife in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Paul studied painting and printmaking at Washington State University and holds an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle Universtiy. He has coordinated hundreds of public art projects and murals around the PNW while working as the Projects Director for Urban ArtWorks.

The circular halftone style he is focusing on recently make its debut in mural form in December 2020 at Gallagher’s Where-U-Brew where Paul makes delicious honey beer. He has since created 20+ murals in this style with clients like Jack Daniels, Amazon, and the Vera Project. He is currently working on his art full time and accepting commissions.
