CALL TO ARTISTS
Electrical Box Project
THEME: Flower Boxes
DUE DATE: June 1, 2025
Calling all artists!
The Broad Strokes Project would like your submission for our newest installation on electrical boxes in the downtown Longview area. Please send us your sketch that uses the theme “Flower Boxes” to reimagine these functional but not-so-pleasing-to-the-eye elements of infrastructure.
BROAD interpretation of the theme is highly encouraged. All mediums that are able to be digitally formatted are welcome. Please submit a high resolution file of your design using the template below for consideration. NOTE: the black area of the template will be visible, but your design needs to fill the entire red area in order to be properly installed.
Questions? Email us at thebroadstrokesproject@gmail.com
ARTIST FEE: $375 if your design is chosen.
Submissions will be juried by The Broad Strokes Project Board, with two special categories: young artist, and community favorite. Eight total submissions will be chosen.
INCLUSIVITY STATEMENT: The Broad Strokes Project is dedicated to creating an inclusive and equitable art submission process that welcomes and celebrates the diversity of artists, their work, and their backgrounds. We recognize that art should be a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to express themselves freely regardless of race, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation.
