More about us…

MISSION:

The Broad Strokes Project is a public arts nonprofit inviting the community to celebrate creativity in our public spaces, and share ideas and conversations- because art is better when it’s for everyone!

VISION:

We are creating spaces that remind us all how fun and beautiful our community can be.

HISTORY:

The Broad Strokes Project (TBSP) was founded in late 2021 by Liz Borders, Mikie Steiner, and Ariel Large with a shared passion for public art. At a time when the community was recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, there was also a renewed sense of hope and collaboration among downtown stakeholders. The founders saw an opportunity to contribute to community and local businesses with public art. Inspired by The Longview Outdoor Gallery (LOG), which was set to dissolve in 2023, TBSP aims to carry on the creative energy while bringing something new to the city.
